Privacy Policy
Odo is a mileage tracker for your own business records. It is built to keep your data private: by default everything stays on your iPhone and in your personal iCloud. This policy explains exactly what Odo collects, where it goes, and how to delete it.
What Odo collects
- Location and routes. To detect drives automatically, Odo reads your device location in the background and records each drive's route, distance, and times.
- Classifications and notes. Whether a drive is business or personal, plus any note, addresses, or stops you add.
- Business details (optional). A company name and logo you enter for your exported reports.
- Account (only if you sign in). If you use Sign in with Apple for the web dashboard, we receive a stable Apple user identifier and, on first sign-in, the name and email you choose to share (which may be Apple's private relay email).
Where your data is stored
- On your device and in your private iCloud (Apple's CloudKit) for backup and syncing across your own devices. We cannot read your iCloud data.
- On our server only if you sign in for the web dashboard. In that case your drives sync to our database so you can view them at web.odo.rzr.gg. This is optional and off until you sign in.
How your data is used
Solely to provide the app's features: detecting and recording drives, classifying them, calculating mileage deductions, and showing or exporting your own reports. Location data is used only for drive detection and is not used for any other purpose.
Sharing
We do not sell your data and do not share it for advertising. Limited third parties are involved only to make the app work:
- Apple, for Sign in with Apple and iCloud storage.
- Map tiles (OpenStreetMap / CARTO) load on the web dashboard to draw the map. They receive only the standard requests a web map makes.
Retention and deletion
- On-device and iCloud data is under your control: delete individual drives in the app, or remove the app and its iCloud data through iOS.
- Server data (if you signed in) can be erased anytime: in the app open Settings and tap Delete account, or on the dashboard use Delete account. This permanently removes your synced drives and account from our server.
- Export your data anytime as a JSON file from Settings or the dashboard.
Children
Odo is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, the effective date above will be updated.
